initial timing on LS1?

initial timing on LS1?

i was wondering what the initail timing on an ls1 is so i have a baseline to set my car up??

And just how would you do that? All timing functions are handled by the PCM and the sensors are all fixed (no adjustability).

Isn't that what tuning software is for?

What are you using to tune? You can download stock tunes from a tune repository to see what a stock table looks like. But there are calculations done so the actual timing will be different.

Maybe he is running a car/distributor setup.

If so I would start with 8-10. On SBC's I used to run about 12-13* for a high performance app.

no with the diablo sport because u can set it i knwo the comp is going to make up for it anyway but i need a setting number??
