Default My SLP LM1 Catback opinion...

Well I swapped my 01 ws6 catback w/ a dynomax superturbo muffler for a used LM1 catback and even though i didnt think i was going to gain anything I felt an instant sotp gain. It sounds awesome, even w/ my headers...maybe because im catted . Only time i heard any type of rasp was when I went wot once. Honestly im not sure why people say these catbacks are only bareable if your running stock manifolds....

I've heard them on several cars and think it sounds great. One of the better SLP products imo.

It's probably becuz you're running mid-lengths and have cats. The cats will cut out a lot of the rasp. Throw some longtubes on there and get rid of the cats...then tell us your opinion! Haha!

I've always liked it too. I have Stock Headers, an ORY, & LM1. It's not loud enough for me. I'm swapping this setup out for LTs an ORY with Dual cutouts... keeping the LM for now.

I have Lts, cats and LM1 and am considering removing the cats. I am not concerned about it being too loud for my taste. But more concerned about noise tickets.

Yea I honestly felt a big torque differance down low between the two...I was surpirsed because the ws6 exhaust is only a 1/4 a inch smaller (I think) and the superturbo "supposedly" flow better then a staright through...apparently not.

I have Kooks LT's, Kooks catted y, and the LM1 catback. I LOVE the sound it has. And so does alot of other people going off the compliments I get. Without cats it would be insane though and not sound very good. Its already loud as hell and a bit raspy at WOT. Im very pleased with my setup also.

I think the reason many people stay away from them is because of in cabin noise. I know when I was running stock headers and y that my LM1 droned quite a bit alittle under 2k rpms. So I can see where that might drive people crazy when cruising. Doesn't bother me a bit and I'm running LM1 resonators as mufflers on my true dual set up. You think the LM1 is loud, try a true dual set up and you will make people **** their pants.

I've loved mine since '02! It's received many harsh looks from people who don't like how loud it is lol; however, I've been followed by many people who wanted to know what kind of system it was because they loved how it sounded. To each their own I suppose.

I love the way my car sounds with Loudmouth. Once I get the tranny back in the GF's Mustang then I can work on getting my Jet Hot LT's and Catted Y on the car. I'll be sure to post another youtube video once its complete. Here is the car with only SLP's catback and stock manifolds.

If you put in "slp shotgun resonator" on YouTube you can watch a video of my T/A with my true dual loudmouth set up. Not exactly your ory set up but it can give you a pretty good idea.

You either love it or hate it and it makes you very bi-polar. Somedays I hate it but most of the time I love it.
