What wires for NGK TR55 spark plugs?
I need some now as my car is dying on me... heres the thread https://ls1tech.com/forums/general-m...ease-help.html ... so far no one has offered any input. Im gonna pull 1 or 2 of the plugs on my lunch break to see if they are bad. I plan on going to Oreillys or Autozone for the plugs but where can I get some good wires quick? I heard MSD are good but don't know if they are sold in stores... any advice?
Oh and if you guys think my problem is something else let me know.
thanks

I always use and recommend the DWB Select lifetime warranty wires (available at CSK outlets). If they fail or fall apart, just take back to the store and get a new free set. They last about 30K miles, and I have been doing this for three years now.

Check out a couple sponsors on here. The guy's S/N on here is 99blancoss. I picked up a set of NGK 55s with MSD wires for around $70 from him. Best deal I've found by far, considering that's about $20 than I could find anywhere else for just the wires.

MSD's are ****, in my opinion. The problem is not in the wire itself, it is in the way that they click onto the coil, and to the spark plug.
I've ran them for 5 years at least, and have had a few break off in the metal part on the plug. (nitrous car, so plugs get changed regular).
They do not click on with a definative click, so you never know if they are on all the way or not. I'm doing a header install, and going back to a stock type, like the angled GTO ones.
As far as your problem, yes, it could be plugs, wires, coils, 02 sensors, MAF, or a bad ground to the block. 9 out of 10 times, it will be one of those listed.
