I personally gained 21rwhp from swapping to a FAST intake. No tuning, no porting, same dyno, same day, same hour, average of three pulls each for each (no glory pulls) just solid data.

We can talk numbers and dyno grpahs all you want but the REAL determining factor is when you hit the gas pedal for the first time. The smile it will put on your face will make it worth every penny, and I dont have headers or anything. Stone stock!!!!

Sweet should post his engine info with his dyno results. People probably assume he has a 'stone stock' LS1 (because this is a gen III room) but he doesn't.
- he has a 6.0 block, not 5.7
- he's comparing an LS2 intake to the fast intake
- not sure what heads he has, not 241's anyway

What do you have against the FAST intake and and trying to undercut my results when I share them??

I have a BIG FAT picture of an LS2 appearing engine with every post, there is nothing Im not sharing. I have an LQ9 shortblock with Stock LS2 cam, Stock LS2 heads, Stock LS2 intake, Stock LS2 Throttle body, with Stock LS1 exhaust manifolds. Its an iron reproduction of a stock LS2.

Exactly!

It was pulled out on the dyno way past its peak just to see since I had 918 springs and .105" wall pushrods. It actually probably needs to look like this, since the engine was obviously was running out of breath....

I don't have anything against the fast intake. Why do you have to post those same results over and over again in the gen III room when you don't have a gen III engine. Post whatever you want but at least make it clear what you're running so people will know what your results mean.

People ask the same question over and over, your on the forum... you know this.... you follow me around attempting to discredit my results everytime I give them the information they are asking for...... And this is the part you seem to miss, which is the most important.

I love my intake, absolutely worth every cent!

I do have a Gen III engine. 2002 LQ9 is a Gen III.

It's worth it, the only thing to consider is if your are going to get different heads later then you have to do the intake install twice. Look for a used FAST or FAST combo in the FS section and by the time you sell your LS6 you are not really out much money for some decent gains and a lot more potential depending on your future set up.

My bad, it is a gen III. I don't know much about the LQ9 except it's an iron reproduction of a stock LS2.

You're probably talking about this thread, LS1 with stock head & stock cam:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...2-vs-fast.html

And I think the first post I disagreed with you a long time ago was in a thread about a bone stock 98 LS1. You told that guy he should get a fast intake too. Bad advice.

I think while massls1guys is somehow right because its not the same from going to LS2 6.0l engine with a FAST than a 5.7l and LS6 intake. But I have to say that someone going from a LS1 intake would show very similar gain in a 5.7l.

But sweets10v8 results speak for themselves; 21rwhp more with nothing else than the bare FAST is a kickass result.

Your doubletalking...."similar gains on a 5.7L w/ LS1 intake" means you think Im right too. I dont want a right or wrong, Im just showing positive results (not promising anyone they will gain 21hp). Just passing on my information with my personal opinion of what I got for the money I spent. Because Im happy, doesnt make me incorrect!

This thread is about a modified engine too..... his already 394hp engine could easily gain as much, or more, than my 300hp engine even though he has an LS6 intake.

Well, in fact I dont think anyone is right or wrong here..I should have write massls1guy is pointing some good info..

I see youre just sharing real results and I appreciate.

I checked the dyno section since my first post here about the FAST setup in almost every situation and I know the results vary a lot from every setup. The only real fact is the more mods you have and the better the FAST is. Some plp with stock heads and cam had very good results, like you, but some just saw from 5-10hp..

I placed my order on a ported FAST 92mm today, I can tell that I can only hope that I will be one of the plp that will get the FAST magic results. 21rwhp is more than I really hope.

I'll be back with the results in 2-3weeks.

I agree, the OP in this thread will probably see a good gain with the fast. If he's lucky he will probably see about the same gain you saw with your stock LQ9.

"I checked the dyno section since my first post here about the FAST setup in almost every situation and I know the results vary a lot from every setup."

some of that is due to difference in dynos. not everyone does a before and after, same day, same dyno, same tune....

that's why i did mine that way. it was as close to apples-2-apples as possible.
