Sweet Thunder users come in!

I am putting headers on my LT1 (this didnt get a good response in the LT1 section, the exhaust sounds cant be the dramatically different) and taking off the cats. As of right now I have the LM catback on. And from what I see both LS1s and LT1s tend to rasp with no cats and LTs.

My question is would the STs be a good choice to kill the rasp? For those who dont know its a chambered and louvered type muffler not just straight like the LM is. Its almost a direct replacement in size and length so, so far its a good candidate.

I run them on my car but I have true duals and that are LOUD !!! They are a little raspy but not bad but some people may say they are so it just kinda what you like .

I think they sound very mellow. Friend has them on his LT1 with an ORH and they sound awesome.

can you describe what that is please...i thought a chambered was like a flowmaster and the louvered was like the bullets???

Couple different types of chambered but this is just like the GMMG. This is crimped chambered, not the flowmaster type with real chambers inside the box.

I know this thread is a little old, but any idea where to find these mufflers? I want to put them on my true dual plan because I like the sound, but no one seems to know anything about them and where to get them.
