Default Cat Bypass Pipes

I'm looking for some cheap cat bypass pipes. The cheapest I've seen are near $300 which, IMHO, is a rip off for two flanges and two pipes with 45 degree curves in them. Especially when I can get a set of Pacesetter LTs for the same price. I would rather not hack up my stock pipes with the cats in them just in case I have a run in with the CHP. I'd also like to stay away from the Pacesetters because I'd rather not spend $300 when I can put that into the Twins fund.

No stooge! I figure if I get in trouble with the CHP they'll either give me a "fix it" ticket or a Ref. ticket. Either way I'll have to bolt my cats back on and get it inspected. It shouldn't be that big of a pain in the *** since all of my other parts are legal.

Default cheap LS1 y-pipe replacement for single catalytic converters

unfortunately, in killer kalifoeneeya we cant count on our governator to back up diddly squat. We hope you dont get caught up with any emissions equipment violations with the CHP or DMV smog checks. But if you do and need to replace the y-pipe then Hedman Hedders makes one that fits for single catalytic converter cars with a 3" ball and socket type flange.
You can make that work for less than $150.
Thats way less than going to a custom replacement. Good Luck

Well I just saw on the national new that Arnie wants to possibly legalize marijuana...............if he is successful, just think about it.
When you go to get your car emission inspected, the examiners will be to stoned to notice your mods and everyone wil be passing! Here's one for Arnie.......................

lucky bastard! I would seriously move far away from California if my whole family didn't live here.

I have somewhat of a new question; where can I get the flanges that bolt up to the exhaust manifold? I was talking with a local exhaust shop guy and he said that he could build me a one piece cat bypass/Y-Pipe for pretty cheap. He just said that I would need to get those two flanges.

I tried searching that but there was nothing.

I found some on Stainless Work's site. Driver's Side Flange and Passenger Side Flange but at $35 a side it's a little more then I would like to pay.
