No it will not. The throttle shafts/camber are different. The actual TB housings are interchangeable but not the throttle shafts.

I put a 98 TB on my 2000. What I discovered was that the 98 cable pulley is circular, but the one on my 2000 was eccentric, so that at small throttle openings the throttle blade moves less per increment of cable pull than at large openings, if you can picture that. I had to put a piece of small copper tubing around the cable at the pedal to take up the slack from the different size cable pulleys. It works, but I don't like it. I am going to swap shafts this winter.

The green piece on the side where the throttle cable and cruise control cable hook up, the 98/99 are round, the 00+ is eccentric or oval basically.

Yeah I found that out the semi hard way... ordered one for my friends '02 and one for my '99. Starting polishing away on one of them--forgot they were different and gave my friend a couple hours of free polishing LOL

I swear mine doesn't feel right and I swapped a 98 to my 99 (drilled mine out too big) and it doesn't seem to have the low end response. I would also wonder if the TP voltage is different.

My 98 in my 00 show 100% at WOT with a logger, so full scale must be the same. I suppose the transfer curve could be different, but I wouldn't know why.

The easiest way to tell the difference in TB's is the color of the spring.

A blue spring is a 2000-2002 & GTO, a orange spring is a truck one and a brown spring is for a 98-99.

The 98 and 99 can have different throttle plate hole sizes and different IAC motors.

All years used the same TPS.
