new edelbrock ls1 intake
looks like the dreams of the ls1 being market being as big as the 5.0 market might become reality...

It does to me.
I thought fuel injection was a part of Hot Rodding? At least thats the impression I am under from going to car shows.
I'll be dropping an LS1 into my 79 vette and doing a conversion seems like more work than dropping the engine as is. Just my thoughts.
If you mainly want horsepower and to go drag racing this is going to be a GREAT idea.
Think about this. You can purchase a longblock LS1 for $1000 in good shape...and just bolt this intake on and its ready to go...pretty soon an ls1 swap in an old car will be no harder than bolting a standard SBC in them.
Id say if it makes 20-30 hp more than a ls6 intake on a heads cam car and doesnt cost to much, then you could still just put a throttle body type carb on the edelbrock intake and run fuel injection...
Whatever...
This will by far be the cheapest way to go all aluminum V8.

i wonder what the tuning will be like with one of these...
i see filters through the hoods of late model fbodies in the future!

i bet it will be rather pricey...with that msd tcm included...
