Default Need confirmation, will 5.3 parts bolt to an LSx engine?

Just need some confirmation, will all the parts from a 5.3l dropout fit on a larger ci block, like will intake, cam, headers, crankshaft, etc, fit an aluminum 5.7l or 6.0l? Is there ANYTHING that will not swap and is displacement specific?

This is external and internal, I wanted to know for both, but there's the whole 2 damn forum thing ***** that up and I'm not double posting a question.

I'm planning a V8 swap into a Colorado, so I really need this answered, thanks.

The only thing I would question is the crank, everything else will go in/on.

Cranks , pistons (different bore sizes) and also take in account the differences in the GEN IIIs and GEN IVs.... But intake will swap over as long they match the intake port style ( cathedral , rectangular , LS7 style )

What exactly are you trying to do?

Buying a pullout 5.3l iron to run for a while, possible swapping to a 6.0l aluminum block in the future.

If I was doing that then I would get a GEN IV 5.3 so that future 6.0 GEN IV will be a simple swap...don't have to worry about different knock sensor locations , cam sensor locations , connectors being different...etc....just my opinion...

Some 4.8L and 6.0L truck engines had a different crank flange..As in some were wider to accomodate different trans dimensions...The wider flange can only be used with certain trans and the shorter flange can be used with any trans as a spacer can be used....Also crank snout lengths vary on FWD to RWD apps....The LS7 has a longer crank snout so it can accomodate it's oil pump...The 4.8Ls stroke is 83mm compared to all other LSx engines 92mm stroke...other than the LS7s 101.6mm stroke..
