Default Underdrive pulley gains?

For you guys with bolt ons only, no heads/cam/n20/etc, what gains did you see from an underdrive pulley?

Car is a DD and thought it might free up a bit of HP and MPG.

Even though the price for any of them is outrageous

I have a SLP pully that I'll be installing after harvest, along with a few other parts but I to was wondering if anyone has dyno tested UD pullys.

Most that I have read on here say 3 to 5 rwhp but ive also heard the main benefit is getting into the powerband faster, and 2-3mpg average boost.

ok, i was skeptical also. I raced my buddies 6.0 gto. I had the mods in my sig, he had lts, powerbond udp, corsa's, and a good tune. we were dead even. we put the pulley on in his garage and raced again, this time me pulling a car on him from 55-80mph. i found one for $100 bucks so in my opinion it was worth it, just keep your eyes peeled for good deals on the for sale section. oh and when i punch it, the car def. revs to the powerband faster...

I didn't see anything at the track but it will help you rev quicker. Still a bolt-on and worth it

Pulleys aren't a peak HP mod, and you won't be happy with it if you're judging by dyno numbers. It reduces accessory drag on the motor, basically "freeing up" a little more power. It's not a huge difference, but it does make a difference. I usually see a consistent 1mph gain at the track with them, which is roughly 1 car length faster than the car was before.

TSP is just an example (and my Fav. vendor for standard stuff like UDPs, headers ext.)... any number of sponsers carry them.

Just buy the belt and pully seperate... Why Can't you just re-use the stock crank-bolts?

BTW, it is a solid modification. It is so cheap it is basically a no-brainer!

The crank bolt is torque to yield and has to be replaced unless it's a arp bolt.

Unbolt the stock one, use a puller to get it off, slide the new one back on and bolt it down. It's much easier said than done though.
