My Victor Jr Install

I agree with the lack of tuning with this intake.
Wrong cam weak tune and bad elbow i think highly contribute to this intakes name as a " 600+ stroker intake".
Also such things as people not wanting to adjust fro the higher powerband. Either in the form of too tall a gear or some low stall.

I have moments when I regret going with the Vic Jr. I retuned, but really need to re-cam to about a 110 LSA from my 112+4. Mine runs like a raped ape from 3500+, but won't launch for ****. Hopefully I'll get some clean runs soon with my 4150 setup with BS3 and a 350 shot. That'll make it all better

Cam,4150 throttle body and tuning is what will make it work and most people will not make the commitment to do any of the 3 so that is why the victor jr IMO gets a bad rap for low end loss or bad daily driver manors.

when the cost was broke down a couple of post before my yaw dropped. I thought it was suppose to be cheaper than a fast. I just picked up a rolling chasis so I'm starting over and when you break it down it makes it seem like a used fast or a new fast is the way to go over the victor Jr. set up. I was thinking I could save som money going with this setup over a fast, boy was I wrong. Good luck with it guys and thanks for breaking down the TOTAL cost with every little detail

I had 170* IAT temps on a 65* night with similar sensor mounting. Put it in your rubber/silicone intake hose before the elbow. Intake regularly sees heat soak. Can't pull enough timing.

Really? Where are you located at, lol. I'm in Texas where it's how as hell and I rarely see my IATs get over 100. I have anothe sensor at the front where my volant is, but I didn't like the way it looked with the wires stretched out that far forward and it's never given me a reason to use that one anyway.

No, I actually got rained out the day I was going and haven't had a chance to try again. And I just bought another Victor JR with spray bars installed so I can run a dual nitrous setup, so hopefully as soon as that comes in I can go get some test runs. I'll do a motor pass, 1st stage only, and then both. Hopefully my stock bottom end will stay together, lol.

On paper the Vic should make more hp than LSx intakes on the top end, but they don't make as much tq down low.
One note for you & others about the Vics. There have been a few instances where the fuel rails loosened up & the injectors sprayed fuel on the engine / headers. A buddies car burned up from it. So MAKE SURE all those bolts are tight & stay that way - locking nuts, locktite, lockwires, whatever it takes....
