Truck coil information thread / plug wires
We make custom length sets for people all the time with these coils. 2-2.5 inches longer is what the plug wire needs to be, the cost is only $2 more than a car wire set for a total of $60 shipped to your door or you can add spark plugs as well for an addition $12.
100% MSD 8.5mm Superconductor wire and components

We also carry the Accel GM/LS truck coils

With the little tiny bit of space we have you cant get your hand gripped firmly around the boots of the back plugs on the passengers side to pull them off the spark plugs. You have to pull the wires and they usually break.

I don't make the coils so I really cant help you there as far as HP supported but I can say that you would have a hard time pulling my wires apart by hand. The boot just slides over the wire and terminal it doesn't matter if it moves or not, you just slide it back into position:the boot does not hold the wire together. The wire is held together by two separate crimps of the terminal. One to the internal current carrying wire and the other to the jacket to hold it together. The jacket crimp is what keeps the wire from falling apart.

More consistant spark @ high RPM. There's a test done & posted here where a megasquirt system was used to test plug gaps & coil firing speeds. In a nut shell, the truck coils were stronger, jumped larger gaps & more consistant fire & high speed or under high RPM conditions. Many of us whom have swapped to the truck coils have also noticed a better idle.
Note: those of us w/ tuning software have also changed to the stock truck coil dwell times after changing to truck coils. Although, this is not absolutely required in order to get the benefits from the coils.

For some reason, can't multiquote today (internet issue). So, in reply to the "I use stock coil lengths w/ truck coils" comment, I do, as well. He likely means that it is recommended that longer wires are used in order to keep the wire to plug geometry equal to stock. Did notice that using the stock wires is a tighter stretch from coil to plug.
99blancoSS has been on this site selling high quality wires for years. In addition to several others on this site, I am also a happy customer of his.

Brackets with the barrel coils will interfere with the fuel rail inlet.
And before it comes up, after that thread there were a lot of results disproving the HP gains from this swap, but the coils are indeed more powerful.
I got a free set of them and tried them myself. Sold them the next week for an easy $140

Paul did prove he gained HP/TQ with the truck coil swap, hell he even posted his link..
Cheers though for a great weekend. Its Friday and the SUN is FINALLY out
And agreed, we nearly got washed away down here...but it's sunny, it's Friday, I just got a raise, and have a car group going to watch F5 tonight. Things are looking way up!
Tomorrow I get to put in my Gforce trans crossmember with exhaust loops so I can get my 3" pipes off the curbs and re-do the collectors (hopefully eliminate some rasp and pick up some flow).
For what it's worth, the supercharger/turbocharger guys automatically go to the truck coils.
It might take the truck dwell tune to really make the truck coils perform better than the stock coils.
The plugs on the truck coils are keyed and pinned differently than the LS1 coils. To use the truck coils, you need to change the coil harness which is kinda part of the bracket. Either coil harness will plug directly into the engine harness.
There is the LS1/6 coil plug/pin arrangement and all else is LS2/3/4/7/9/92/LSA/ LQ4/LQ9 etc....
