What else have you done to your car? I loved my Corsa on my 5.7L engine. I had PPCs but they are Grotty style like the Kooks (that I have on the car now). Whenever you delete the cats you get a drone at 2k rpms, so you might consider adding a DynoMax bullet in the I-pipe. But the sound of that system rocks!
Until you slap a no BS 408 with an F1 in front of it....

I have LT's 3", to 3" cat-less Y, to 3" Stainless Corsa catback.
No drone at any RPM or speed, Loud and agressive on accel, but sounds awful on decel, raspy and poppy etc. I am going to a true dual eventually. I hate the sound of the Y-pipe. If I had cats or a cat im sure I could hide/mask the chubaca but not willing to spend anymore money if it involves a y-pipe. GM dropped the ball with the y-setup.

just to let you know... your LS1 will never sound like a 5.0. you could be a little more descriptive then saying "throaty" as your perception may be a little different than someone else? do you plan to run a catted-y or ory? corsa is a great exhaust and youtube vids, and ls1sounds can only go so far as everything sounds different in person. try to find someone local with the same or similar setup or go with your "gut" and what your want out of your vehicle's setup

It's just a matter of taste. My buddie runs kooks LT's and kooks high flow cats,y pipe to
a corsa catback. He has a hotter cam than I do + AFR heads. The car sounds really good.
A little more old school than my setup with a magnaflow(kinda quiet till I stomp on it.)
Talk to 10 different people get 10 different answers. The corsa is a really great catback.

Here is a clip of my Kook's 1 7/8" headers into a 3" Y-Pipe with cats and a Corsa Catback. My motor is a 416 Stroker so that will make it louder.

I had exactly that for awhile before the cam. I thought it sounded really great, best sound of any of my setups. Still fairly quite at low RPM/throttle and then just screams when you get on it. It's more exotic than throaty though. The cam amplified the sound to where it's just loud now. However, even with the cam it quiets down nicely cruising on the highway in 6th gear. It just sounds evil when letting off from high RPMs. Nobody wants to mess with me when I let off beside them like that, lol.
