high idle after long tube install
Hey guys, I recently installed longtubes on my 01 t/a, and i noticed that afterwards, if i was driving along and took the car out of gear , and left the clutch pushed in, the revs would climb up to 1500 rpms. it didnt do this before the header install, so im just kinda wondering why it's doing this. any ideas?

I had the y pipe bolted on yesterday and i've got everything reconnected. if one of the pins on the 02 sensor got messed up, cuz there are 4 of them, would that contribute?

Check your throttle cable, mine was doing the same thing because the cable wouldn't retract all the way and the throttle body would stay open a little bit. You might also have to reset your throttle position sensor

Mine would raise when coasting to 1500 but when I come to a complete stop, it drops to normal. I find it very annoying but have no idea what it is. Sounds like the same situation but I don't have LT's but do have relatively new O2's.

To reset the TPS I believe you disconnect the battery for 20 minutes, reconnect it, start your car with the a/c and let it run for 5 minutes, shut it off, then start the car back up and let it idle again for 5 minutes with the a/c off, then shut it off one more time and it should be good to go, if that was in fact the problem.
as for the vacuum leak, you can go to a shop and have them test it, some shops will charge a lot for this stupid test. or you can light up a cigar, blow some smoke around your engine bay and see if it gets sucked in anywhere it's not suppose to.

I to am having this problem, When I scanned my car the code I got was P0507. I am considering to take it to a shop, which would probably be Speed Inc because thats the closets performance shop near me. The only worry is that I thing it will be a $200+ dollar charge to fix.

I think I figured out what it is, and I'd like to stress hwo important it is to be gentle putting the 02 sensors into the plugs... When I got the ory installed, the guy was running late when the shop closed. He handed me the sensors to put in, so naturally i obliged since he stayed later to help me. I tried to rush, and i accidently bent one of the pins in the connector on the block. I ran the scanner last night and i came up with p0134, which is the no activity bank 1 sensor 1....the driver's side. So now, today, I have to get it back up on the ramps and hope to god that i can straighten and fix that pin.
On another note, anyone in the local peoria/phoenix area that has borla exhaust with the interchangable tips that wants to trade for gmmg???
