Default Car missing erratically. Need some advice.

It all started when I was driving down the road at around 35 MPH. The car started to miss and flash the SES light (active miss). I gave it some gas it didn’t seem to clear up so I went WOT it was boggy and ran like a dog. Spark plugs wet with gas. Smokes and missy idle. When I crank it, revs a couple times and dies (also sounds like fuel pump stays priming before dies) I started with all of the obvious. Spark plugs, Wires, I just put new 02's in like 4 months ago. New MAP (no change, took it back), crank position sensor (no change took it back), cam position sensor (left it in to hard to take out). Put a buddy's lid, MAF and throttle body on (no change, put mine back on). Any ideas will be appreciated

Did you check the battery connections and grounds on the engine and frame?? Did you make any changes or mods shortly before this happened??

How does it sound when its missing? Is it a loppy sound or like a chug sound like its starving for gas? Are you sure the plugs are wet with gas or is it antifreeze? I only say this as you say you are smoking when its missing. Pop off a vavle cover see if any anitfreeze is up top.

i had the same problem on my truck a couple days ago, turns out that my drivers side coils werent firing and it was a goddam fuse in the fuse block. i think mine was INJ B. or INJ A. but i don't know if it would be the same for your car, its worth checking out though

I checked all the wire harness I could see from top and from bottom. I haven’t done anything to the car in about a year. I only seen a few grounds, but all were intact.

The car has a larg cam in it, but it is almost as if it's flooding, if that makes any sense. The plugs are for sure wet with gas. I pulled the passenger side valve cover, all seemed well. It is a, rich on gas smoke not really a water being burned smoke, more black also strong gas smell. My idle fuel pressure is 60lbs, isnt that a little high?

I scanned it with my scanner, no codes. I took it to the Chevy place and they put their scanner on it and it was missing all over the place just one cylinder after the other.

I pulled the wires from the coils, they are firing. My hand completed the current a few times.

Check fuses everywhere? Sounds like unburnt fuel to me, I'm going to guess a coil pack or coil packs. I know this all sounds stupid, but make sure there aren't any pinched wires, check fuses, and plug wires. I doubt it's a stuck injector, but who knows? Have you had it scanned yet? That will usually tell you what cylinder(s) is misfiring. Good luck and keep us posted on what you find out.

Ooops, just read your other posts... you must have been responding as I was typing mine. Do you have a friend that will let you try his coil packs? Or possibly PCM??

Yes, I can get some and try them. I just remembered that I pulled the little pulsator that sets on the connecting line on the fuel rails and put it back on it ran a little better after that for just a bit. I dont know if it that reall made a diff. or just coincidence.

Question

Is there any way fuel pressure could be lowered or regulated inline?
