Default ls6 pcv

i am thinking of upgrading to the ls6 pcv valley cover but want to make sure that it will fit under my ls1 intake?

It will fit under the intake. But it might not fit your block. If your block has a boss cast in your valley, right side, just forward of halfway, It wont fit without cutting the boss down. I'm not sure what years has it. My 2000 did. Hope this helps, Dean

Can the block be identifieded externally (by casting #) to know whether or not it has this boss under the valley cover?

I think only if your lucky enough to have a LS6 block...its not hard to do, i just switched to the LS6 valley plate

I say skip this mod. I did it many years ago and it doesn't keep any more oil out than the old set up. I run a catch can with the LS6 valley et up now.

Never had a problem with my stock system, just had to switch so i could ditch the stock valve covers
