TCS removal
#2
Good question, I will be doing this soon. I think all you need to do is remove it from the fender well and get a new throttle cable (one for an f-car w/o tcs). Has anyone done this?

If the servo is gone your ASR OFF light will be on full
time. The cruise control cable also runs through this
pulley cluster. I expect you would want both throttle
and cruise cables off a non-TCS car.
Dunno if removing the TCS "brain" from under the dash
would make the ASR OFF light go away...and lose
another pound.

is it really worth the hassle? seems like the only benifit would be fewer cables under the hood. our SS is a non ASR and cruise car, and the one cable is very clean lookin.

how do you tell if you got traction control, My 99 m6 has no buttons or witches to turn it off, I was powersliding around a curve a while back and some low-trac light came on, but no losss of power or anything.

4 coils per block, one over each valve cover, no splicing of the harness wires, no drilling, plug and play. I'm going to start making my own kits for sale.

About half way through the 18th post. (part numbers)
LS1 throttle cable (98-99, without TCS) = 12565559
LS1 throttle cable (00-02, without TCS) = 12565560
Write up by ACW. Good info to check out for other stuff too.
