Exclamation Help me. Need to get my car to the 8.50's in the 1/8 mile without spending money!!

With the mods that I have, do you think that it is possible to achieve that time? I'm racing my friend on Wed. and he runs 8.58 and I want to spank his a$$.

Take everything off your car that you don't need, and then maybe! That's pretty fast for not spending any money. With the mods you have, you could probably pull 8.7 at best.. I'm no expert, but losing weight is about the best option, unless someone lets you borrow some bolt ons!

I went 8.39 with lid, free mods, and a cutout.

I went 8.5's bone stock.

I think you should be fine if you can drive.

Are you racing him on the street or at the track, either way get a set of drag radials then it should be a good race. The winner will depend on who spins the least.

Is it M6 or A4, if you are a good driver I can see it happening, get some good sticky tires and you will be there. Good Luck

It is an automatic, and so is his. He's got one of those Art Carr transmissions with a 2800 stall converter. He is also running a 1.86 60ft. time on a P245/50/R16 Kumho ECTSA Supra 712 tire which is the same exact tire that I am running. But he has an LT1, and it's got 120,000 + miles on it. I was thnking about taking the plastic mesh grilles out of the ram air portion of the hood to maybe free up some airflow. He's also got a 3.23 gear in the back where I believe that I have a 3.42???

How on earth is he running a 1.86 60' on Supra 712's, not only are they a terrible street tire, THEY ARE NOT A SLICK!

Have you seen him run the 1.86? I wouldnt believe it unless i saw it.
