Default ls2 intake vs ls6 or weiland

my car is a 99 ta with 4.10s, 2500 stall, lt headers, lid, and a 100 wet shot on greg weld 15x8 28x11.5 rear and greg weld 15x3.5 front runners. i bought a ls2 intake and 90mm tb for cheap thinkin more air means more power but the car seems to be idling high around 1400 rpms without a tune. so my question is if would i see more hp gains with a ls6 intake or a weiland before i get the car tuned. if you have any expierence with the ls2 parts your advice would be very beneficial. im about 2 weeks from a tune and i want to have the right set up before i go

ls6 does flow more than the ls2...stock...and even ported they are about the same.

your problem is the bigger TB is likely letting more air in when the blade is closed. tuning is needed.

but honestly...get rid of the ls2...
