I've heard some guys regret putting the cheap fernco smooth bellows on their cars. And some guys love it. Before I commit one way or another I'd love to hear some opinion's of you guys who have done it good or bad.

The disadvantages to the Fernco are the fact it's not a direct fit (has to be cut to form) in most cases, and it doesn't allow any flex which I've seen crack intake lids before.
I have never seen the mod dyno'd, so it's all speculation as to how much it actually does. I personally don't use them or recommend them.

I have personally cracked a lid due to a fernco being on the car but I had a bad motor mount as well. IMO the oem piece should really only be replaced when required to accomodate a larger throttlebody.

I had one on my 01Z and never once had a problem with it. I was running it with a slp lid, never saw crack. the only fitment issue i had was solved with a quick dip in boiling water.

FERNCOS ARE WACK!!! I've seen them at shows.... they look cheap and stupid. Just use regular gas when you fill up instead of 93 octane and buy yourself a smooth bellow from ebay for like $25 bucks. no cracked lids, looks good, and was cheaper than the slp smooth bellow

ok so u dont need one but i will say this....just a smooth bellow on my car made it run really lean beacause it was sucking in more air and it was messing with the computer. I had to get it tuned just so it wasnt running so lean. Oh and it was much leaner than a stock tune which is horrible to begin with.
There....thats my explaination and im not here to debate... so thread subscribtion deleated later...........lol

Idk this seems like its just as good as a slp bellow and flexible enough to mount good. Opinions? http://store.airflo.com/3h3.html
