Default Help!! Asap!! Ls6 installation!!

while installing the ls6 the driver side rear bolt of the manifold broke off into the threading. has anyone ran into this problem? is there any way of getting it out? any help is appreciated

I assume there is no threading sticking up out of the intake at all? If so try getting vice grips on it. Most of the time you drill the bolt and use a back out but being under the cowl like that not sure how you would do that. I wouldn't try it without being able to see if you are getting into the manifold with the drill bit. You might have to drop the motor to be able to back it out, I hope not? I have never ran into this but hopefully someone has and they have an easy fix. Sorry I am not much help. You might take a pic or two so people maybe can see what you are working with. I thought I had a bad situation when I had to grind a header bolt to get it out.

not the threading on the manifold but where it bolts onto the block next to the intake port..but i know what you mean about drilling it out and using a back out
this sucks because its my dd

Well if you can get the head off then unbolt it and drill and back it out. Shouldn't be to bad just time consuming, Just be careful and don't strip a header bolt like I did.

I have gotten a bolt that broke off in the head on rear passenger side with a right angle drill and an easyout bit.

yeah i tried that but i got no progress drilling through so i might have to take off the head; what size bit did you use? Im gonna try again this weekend since im off but this really sucks cause i have no car

yeah i did, i ended up taking it to a shop and they drilled it out, now i just got to put it back on along with the ls6 and ARH LT's and ORY
