If the LS3 isn't picking much up (0 - little gain) with the FAST 102, I don't expect a 346 to pick up much either and it won't be worth the swap from a ported FAST 90 or ported FAST 92

FAST isn't producing 92 products anymore, so it's not like you really have much of an option if you don't already have one. Why buy something used when you can get the 102 for the same price as the 92 was.

I hear ya but have to ask isn't the ls3 intake a lot better flowing then the ls1 intake? If so then your ls3 argument is correct. However a 346 with an ls1 intake swapping to a FAST 102 will see something, should be a huge gain. It still sounds like overkill to me for a h/c 346. My logic is the 346 doesn't require that much airflow and it may actually hinder the combo a bit. JMO. Waiting for Ron to comment.
Does anyone have a link to how much each intake flows? (ls1, ls2, ls6, ls3, fast 92, fast 102, ported/unported)

doesnt the ls1/6 intake lop off flow at around 260cfm (or so) even the fast 90/92 cuts air off at 280-290. i know my numbers are skewed a bit, but pat g had a good read somewhere where these intakes restrict what the heads can flow, so if this intake will flow an awesome 300 plus, it would definitely benifit!

subscribing for results too. (on the other hand, hopefully it does alright and i get a 92 cheap!!!)

My reply was in response to the guys who were thinking of switching from a ported FAST 92 or ported FAST 90 setup to a 102 setup.

There was no difference between a ported FAST 92 and ported FAST 90 on a 346. Even guys that opened their FASTs up to 96s didn't gain anything over the 90 and 92 on a 346ci. 102 isn't going to make a difference on a 346

Of course there is going to be a HUGE difference going from a LS1 intake to a FAST 102mm. The topic in question is, is it worth it to go from an already ported FAST 90/ported FAST 92 to a FAST 102.

i like how the new 102 FAST doesnt have the "dent" in the runners for the stock fuel rails.

It will work for the stock LS2 rails. They go over the intake anyway. But it is an extra cost.

+1 ... that is the question.

My FAST 90 isn't ported so this should answer if I should just port it or go to the 102.

It'd be cheaper for you to just port it rather than getting an entire new intake.
