2000 WS6 needing some help
Now, as far as short term (within this year) is concerned I would like to be pushing 400 rwhp and as far as long term is concerned my goal is low 12's, maybe high 11's. As I said, I really do not know where to start or look so any help would be appreciated.
And (appx) what would the cost of all that be if it had to be done through a shop?
@Blueknight
I have been reading through a lot of stickies but I just really don't know where to start.

Also, do the installation yourself. Not to hard. And if you live in Oregon you are welcome to use my tools if you need em
also, what the hell is this 9" i keep seeing float around the site, i know it has something to do with the rear end but idk what it means.
The 9inch that you're referring to is a Ford 9inch rear end. Which is a great rear end to customize for just about any car, they are strong and reliable if built properly.
You can also go with a GM 12 bolt as well as a Dana 60 if you want to upgrade.

and thanks to everyone else as well.
And don't waste you money on a brand new LS6 intake manifold. I almost made that mistake and would have regretted it. 10hp is not worth $600. Buy it used in the classifieds for around $300. I actually got mine shipped for $275
I may not do it on the block thats in the car now. Its a '00 WS6 ( LS1 of course ) it has 158,xxx miles and the ear is broke off from 1 of the starter bolts on the block...pisses me off cause I didnt catch it when I bought it....and of course an alumn block has its disadvance of replacing the ear

but for future modding, it is saved
