Everyone seems to complain about installing these and honestly it was not that damn bad. Just get a buddy, a case of beer, some classic rock music, and go to work.. Biggest piece of advice is to have patience and have fun with it. BTW I installed pacesetter longtubes if that makes any difference

+1 for patience! i installed these exact headers on my 02 TA at the end of summer. my advise is to take to oil filter off for the drivers side and the starter off for the passenger sid. it helped greatly for me. another thing you might have to do is have a friend jack up the tranny a bit for the pass. side. while you slide it in. air tools work great just dont trap the ratchet between the body and the bolt to were you cant get it out and it strips it threads. ha happend to me. good luck

Snip off the pointy ends of the plastic pins that stick down from the cowl cover.

Get a chick to help you. Was great watching my wife get elbows deep in the car, she was a big help.

RIP out the AIR while you're in there, ditch the TCS too. That will help alot.

im also currently installing LT's and the last coil pack bolt on passenger side SUCKS! im also wondering if the passenger manifold comes out from the top or bottom? and one of the middle header bolts is right behind the oil dipstick, how does that bolt come out?

Undo dipstick bolt, pull tube up and out (some fall out, some are stuck).

Both manifolds from the bottom.

Make sure header bolts are the correct length (make sure they will not bottom out in heads).

I like to clean the bolt hole threads with a thread chaser (not a tap).

do new poly motor mounts raise the engine a create more clearance?I have jet-hots slid right in.the front tires are 1 foot off the ground, the rears are 8' in.off the ground.keep the tranny mount unbolted ,and use a jack with a block of wood on the oil pan to raise a side of the motor up for that last .25 in.
