Default ls1 dont get fire (spark) Ive searched! lol

Alright i just swapped longblocks on a 2001 camaro with a 2002 camaro motor. I got it all in and it spins over but wont start. It has good fuel pressure. But its not getting fire. Im going to swap crank position sensors next unless there is something easier to check next. What do you thinK. we did try to start the car without having the front ground hooked up, but it didnt even turn over then. did that mess up the cpu?

Alright we change the crank position sensor and tried to start it and it still don't get fire. One of the grounds got so hot it starts smoking. What is wrong?

Did you get all of the grounds? I missed one during a headswap on a buds car and had similar issues. I had missed the 3rd ground on the driverside head. I remember using a code scanner to try and diagnose, the pcm threw all kinds of errors. You might just take a breather, think about it and recheck everything...

My brother did and intake swap and cut a ground wire behind the intake and wouldnt get spark. He checked everything since his fuel pump wouldnt come on either at the end it was a simple ground wire that he messed up his self.

If you have a small ground wire getting so hot that it smokes when you crank the engine, it sounds like you forgot to connect a larger ground wire somewhere. The small wire just can't carry enough amps to do the job. Did you connect the three grounds to the back of the head on the drivers side of the engine?
