Default Where to get fake cats or cheap factory ones?

I just picked up a 2000 WS6 6 speed for my brother who is in Iraq. It needs the converters replaced. Mechanic said both are bad and one is cracked resulting in a pita exhauste leak. I would like to have the fake ones welded in but don't know where to find them. In the case that he wants real ones put back in I or he will need some new or low mileage replacement ones.
thanks for the help.

there's a few companies who make cat delete pipes for stock manifolds. the stock cats are tucked up next to the engine so unless someone is reeeally looking for them they're not going to notice. if he's doing it for hp though he's better off just doing headers and some high flow cats. search the classifieds on here for a used set of stockers, you can just gut them if you want it to look like you have them.

btw this really isn't the right section for this type of question haha

Try your local GM dealer.
There's a TSB issued for replacement cat's.
They might just replace them at no cost.
Search, ...

http://performance-curve.com. They have all kinds of different cats on their site. Stock replacements and high flows, all for great prices.
