Curious about the lsxr on a 102. If it gains more hp on a ls2 vs. a 90/92mm. I already have the 102 I was just wondering

The 102mm intake is worth 3-5hp over a 92mm intake,

What about a 102mm vs a 90mm???? I think I'm actually exhaust restricted right now, but who knows. I think I'll save my money for more cubes next. I've got a set of PI heads, and a decent cam, and the car drives great as is, but who doesn't want 500ft/lbs of torque from a NA motor.

Ive seen it two times on two different 6.0Ls. One was and LS2 with heads and cam, the other was an cam only LQ4 that was swapped form the 92mm LSX to the 102mm LSXR.

Does it really matter? The 102 is slightly better on power, but way better on design. Just take a look at the modular design of the runners, and the bolt down for the MAP sensor.

Default My 102 Experience

I installed a 102 on my C5. Only issue was I had to put a 1/4" spacer between the engine cradle and the body to get it to clear the windshield wiper pan and I had to grind down my stock waterpump casting to get it to seal up front. I think the waterpump casting was a fluke it had a slight irregularity at the top of the casting over a bolt hole. Here is what mine looks like. I plan on getting some AFR 215s and a Whiplash 2 cam. I am getting ready to upgrade the clutch and install some 410 gears first. No point in getting more power at the wheels just to break things. Here is a picture of mine.

Bringing this thread up from the dead for a bit. This thread has a big part in me deciding to sell my FAST 90 and 90mm tb and upgrade to the FAST 102 and NW 102 tb. I'm having Vengeance do the porting too. Thanks to Ron for posting this and I can't wait for my intake and tb come in the mail. I'm sure the work will be top notch too. Thanks to Ron and the guys at Vengeance. I will post pictures and results for sure.
