Default WHat's the Biggest Roller rocker possible on a stock LS1

Well I mean highest ratio... but what will work without issues? I was thinking 1.85 or higher? Yella Terras are pretty cheap and i can install em easy myself. A cam may seem like a cheap alternative but doing the math with labor up here in Canada it can get pretty pricey and I'm not looking for anything much beyond stock characteristics anyways.

01 z28 Just threw on a lid, slp bellows, LTs and ORY being installed in the next few weeks and No cats. Have a Corsa cat back. Figure a 1.85 should net me 10 hp +? ?

I would swap the valve springs and pushrods with replacements while in there as she has 125k miles on here atm.

You'll definitely need to swap in new valve springs since you'll be raising the lift on the stock cam with 1.85 ratio rockers.

Rockers alone really aren't a cost effective mod IMO. If you can swap valve springs, then there's no reason why you can't swap a cam.

stock rockers are actually pretty good on ls1's. they are lightweight and thats half the battle. and yeah like damian said thay aren't really cost affective.

I hear that argument alot but local shops here are a pretty good ripoff. A cam is around 500 and labor around $1k plus timing chain, oil pump and all extra odds and ends. Rockers I can do myself maybe I'm just being lazy now but I've never really done anything internal on my own. I'm sure i can do it but its having all the tools etc and that i dont have.

I think 1.85s for $500 is a pretty good deal if it can get me 10-15 hp. ALso if I do sell the car the rockers can come off and net me back $400 or so. I'd say thats a better deal than a cam if you ask me + it doesnt need tuning.

I dont see how its a waste of money. Install 1.85s. freshen up with new valvesprings. win win there. Sell the car and go back to stock. make some money back on the rockers. win again. I don't see how its a waste of money?

Might just look into a shoppe in the u.s on the east coast. something I can drive in and out with for a cam swap and tune. Shoppes up here just flat out suck and are over priced.
