uuughh.. Yeah tell me about it.. I've had this car for seven years and dumped around 20k into it just for parts. It's getting to the point now where I have to start replacing outdated and worn performance parts that I bought for it back from 2003. Tech changes and things wear. Just don't have money right now and it's very frustrating..

It's like not being able to buy your kid something..

Ballin'!

Wish I had a bigger displacement motor to work with these days. I would go back to my old 4" setup in a heartbeat!

The mufflex sounds great. Could you get any better pics of the I-pipe over the axle? From what I've read, the mufflex muffler is fairly restrictive.

you mean the spintech? and no...its not restrictive at all. or at least much better than a flowmaster 2 chamber.

Actually if you do a search here and on other forums you'll see quite a few postings about how restrictive the spintech is. I don't know if it's true or not but it was always in the back of my mind and was the reason I removed it. Was a great sounding muffler and not overly loud either.

You guys are right about the spintech muffler. My buddy had the same exhaust he picked up a few mph in the 1/4 and dropped something like 3 or 4 tenths when he went to a single in/out ultraflow. He called mufflex and told them what he did and the gains he picked up and they didn't believe him. I think brian rs/ss will be fine for now. If he goes power adder or stroker he might want to look at a different muffler or cut out. Sounds nice and damn clean install.

yeah but see i dont give a **** about track times. my car is a DD, so for me its fine, and for other ppl that race their cars mufflex has a 4" bullet set up which would probably be a killer track exhaust. or theres always cut outs.

don't care. at all.

i only weigh 125 lbs so my car is still lighter than some ppl who have the fat *** driver mod.

and besides what is this? formula 1? what difference does it make?

ive searched it too and most of the ppl that say these things don't flow have no proof. ALSO spintech has like a million different mufflers and of course some flow better than others. also the spintech on my set up has very little interior noise, which some people may equate to it being restrictive. but again i have seen no proof.

If you like the way it sounds thats all that matters. To deny that that spintech muffler is restrictive shows your lack of research though. It was a restriction on this guys cam only setup
