Unhappy So Lost ! I dont know what to do !

I was driving home the other night car started to over heat! Pulled over and water was coming from back of water pump!
So got it home!
New water pump
Hyper tech thermostat
Slp fan switch !
Thought I got all the air out . It warmed up to 213 and cooled down to 192... Drove four miles started to heat up to 248 ! Came back home it cooled down to 212 stayed there about 25 mins idling ! I put finger in the radiator and it was cool to the touch shut it off let it sit started back up 197 then 212 stayed there took cap off and it bubbles up and out slow nothing major! water still cool to the touch ! but when i added water back into the radatior it boiled or gurrgles down low and the cross over tube steamed like hell ! I had taken off the cross over tube too help bleed more air when it cooled back down !
I give the **** up totall loss! I mean dont think head gasket or anything and oil is fine and no smoke !

Try this disconnect the hose from the water pump the upper one. The place another hose i n place of that one and angle it up so u can pour water into it. pour water untill it comes out. then replace the line to the pump and raidator. Fill up untill its full cold with the car off. Start car turn heater on full blast no ac tho and watch. As soon as the tstat open pour water untill it wont accept it any more and place the cap on it. Then check the reserve and make sure it says full hot. That shoud get rid of air bubbles.

Remove radiator cap, start engine and let idle, add coolant as necessary, and watch temp to shut down if it gets hot. This may take a few startup cycles to purge all the air out of your cooling system, but has worked well for me.

Try a cheap stock replacement thermostat from AutoZone or something. At this point, I think it's worth trying just to see if the thermostat is being fishy. Both fans are kicking on right? Keep us posted.

look at the hose that is coming from the block to the over flow thank, I bet you have it in the wrong hole, I would make sure you did not put the one on top in the bottom and vice versa. I bet that is what it is.....
do you know what I mean?
if not let me know and I will try to post a picture to show you what Im talking about.

this may or may not be the case but its worth a shot. Make sure that the top hose goes to the overflow and the bottom is the block feed. just like in the picture.
hope that helps;

If coolant in block is overheating but the coolant in the radiator is cold, then the TS is not opening.

Bingo... so I repeat, go get a cheap stock replacement thermostat from AutoZone or any parts store that has one, and see if the same thing occurs (unless you already tried this... tell us if you did). It is possible the 160 you bought is not opening. Keep us posted.

Default Here is the scoop

New everything even hoses!

I purge water pump with water and replace hose .... i fill radatior and start! upper crossover line has a long hose on it to purge air! The cars warms up and seems to do ok! the heat doesnt get near at hot with that stat in in! 183 its opens i feel warm air in heater .. climbs to 195 crusing 2500 3rd gear gets 212 i stop let idle at about 1500 to cool back down to 188 !
Then it goes bad If i get on the car 3000 or above start to really get hot ! when this happens the over fill tank blows fluid out ! and the block is empty again and back to square one!
So went to car was after refilling block again and putted over there 188 with low fan on uncapped radatior and seen fluid moving ! while looking in the radator and reving it pretty hard 3 or 4 good times a mountain of anti freezes gueshhs out in same pulse pattern i revved it at! gotta be head gasket
no smoke
anti freeze is clean as whistle oil looks great

I havent seen anybody ask this but do you hear your Fans kicking on?

Sound like a bad pocket of air or the Thermostat is bad or not opening all the way.

You might still have air in the system. Be sure you are bleeding the air correctly. Keep the radiator cap off, disconnect the small coolant hose that runs from the block to the radiator. Disconnect it at the block, just to the right of the throttle body. Fill coolant through radiator. When coolant starts leaking from where the hose is disconnected, all the air will be out (as this is the highest point in the cooling system). Hope this makes sense, I'm on the way out to lunch, lol.
