A 3" version would make me happy too. I know that space is tight in there, so it may not be possible with a dual. I am concerned about noise too. Magnaflow Ultras are my muffler of choice, but 4 bullets might do the trick. I'd just have to hear it for myself. I'm kind of cheap and don't care much about tips, so I agree with having options there. About cats, what kind of flow do they get? Random Tech claims 500cfm, which is great. No one else posts cfm numbers. If I'm going to spend $2k+ on and exhaust system, you'd better believe I'm getting the best cats on the market.

By the way, AWESOME system

the difficulty and added expense of going to a 3" dual system wouldn't be paid for by the extra hp you'd get unless you've gotta pretty hard-core car (in which case, you're probably more in the market for dumps, not a dual system out the back).

btw, that's a great lookin' system. i'll be interested in seeing the firm price.

Even though the price is $1200, it's a nice system and a big thumbs up to anyone that tries to make a true dual system for our cars. It's got to be hell. Yes they will be mass produced but you know they are going to get a ton of emails and phone call reguarding fitment issues. Every car is just alittle different from eachother. I have FLP headers and SLP diamond SFC. And the passenger pipe used to barely hit the SFC, so i adjusted the system so it stopped hitting. This was on my '99 SS. Now i put evertything back on my '02 WS6 and sure enough the pipe started tapping the SFC's again. I had to adjust it again. And my Borla kept hitting the body over the axle. Well after several adjustments it doesn't hit. But in my '99 SS it never hit. God only knows how you can fit two 2 1/2 pipes over the axle without hitting. I give them alot of respect for all the R&D to make this system. A dual system totally changes the sound of the car. For all that work plus with dual high flow cats and two mufflers I don't think something in the $1200 range isn't that bad. I hope they make a system for FLP's. I'd be willing to try it out. I would probably replace my FLP cats with the highest flowing cats i can find. Good Luck guys with the new system!! Take care.

Just got word that Stainless Steel Works is putting together a true dual over-the-axle bolt on package for the F-Bodies. It will be constructed of 304 stainless steel, CNC mandrel bent. This system will be released very soon. You might want to wait on this one!

Let me finalize some pricing on this and we'll go from there. Personally I'd love to see these systems in the $750 offroad / $1000 catted, but we have to see how much money we're into for mufflers/cats/tips/etc.
Just for comparison purpose, I paid right around $750 (parts and Installation) for my true dual setup, and I have the option to use Carsound cats OR off-road pipes, I also have two dynomax bullets right before the turndowns, if you would like to see pictures you can send me an email anytime. Not bashing you at all, you are new to this. And like you said you still have to see how much parts will cost. Do you know what company (i.e. Dr. Gas) you plan to purchase the parts through? Either way the idea of putting together an x-pipe setup that can be sent UPS that you just bolt right onto your headers is great and will benefit a lot of people, especially those that dont have a good exhaust shop close by that can do it for them. Another thing to think about, which i am sure you already have is the hangers for the exhaust.

I'm sure Stainless can make their own post about it when they are ready, lets please keep this about TTP setup. Thanks!

I have been waiting for something great like this to happen. As have all of my other friends. If this is going to actually be able to bolt right up without no problem (as in your driveway), then you can definately sign me up. Even if I may have to take it to a shop to have it welded, then that's fine with me too. The $800 range would be awesome imo.

What about a deal where you buy the true dual setup along with KOOKS?

you know what no one has mentioned about this thing taking time to produce... getting 2 pipes to the axle is a piece of cake. And if the setup WAS new, I could see it being a problem. BUT... The rear suspension is the exact same as it was in 1982!!!!

I've been waiting for a bolt on true dual setup for a while now. I would definately buy a catted version as long as there were no fitament issues

I would buy this for sure at $1200 Shipped as long as it was a complete bolt on. You can count me in for an order.

I'd be interested in a non-cat version for the $750-800 range... Just haven't had time to do anything with my car lately
