need help with my first mods okay guys, i just turned 18 and purchased my first ls1. i'd always wanted one, so the day i could get a loan i grabbed one up. its got 61k miles and is pretty much bone stock. In the month i've owned it i put on a flowmaster catback and a new lid w/ k&n.
NOW... i'm not wanting to spend more than 1,000. just wanting to get a good opinion on what to buy first, wanting a Cam, but its my DD and only car and can't afford to replace valve springs all the time. maybe headers? what should be the first things i do to get all of the easy power i can with bolt ons?

Headers would be an excellent choice for your next mod. You'll definitely notice a gain in performance and the sound of your ride will be much more fun to listen to.
And unless you decide you want to go with Stainless Steel, you should be able to get a complete Longtube Header and Aftermarket Y-pipe Setup for well under your budget.
Don't be afraid to use the SEARCH feature. There are more than enough threads pertaining to Installing LTs & ORY that are chocked full of good info.

Good choice, man, but please don't go with the Pacesetter ORY. Instead order one from Texas Speed. Theirs has a great flowing merge, while the Pacesetter is terrible. Plus I believe it costs less, so its a Win/Win situation.

okay, so i'm on texas speed's website. i'm ready to order them...and i was wondering in your opinion is it really worth the extra hundred dollars for the ceramic coating? trying to save where i can and maybe squeeze in a cam too this paycheck
Yes. The headers will look like **** in a couple days if you dont get coated. I had coated on my car for 2 years and they still looked good. Also, get the texas-speed y-pipe over the pacesetter
