I haven't had experience with kooks but i've heard good things about them. I went with 1 3/4 ARH LT's and they slid in perfect and matched up great with their ORY. It was an easy install and well worth it.

The main point here is that you are going with quality american made products and not some off shore E-Bay stuff. I have the ARH's, best fit of all the headers I have worked with, and the service from ARH is top notch. I have not used the Kooks but have heard good things about them as well. I don't think you will go wrong reguardless of who you chose in this case.

CMIIW, but isn't the ARH a Kooks design? My buddy got the ARH's and LOVES em! I'm wanting a set myself. The merge on the Y looks great and the collector on the LT's looks like a really good design as well.

Very happy with my kooks, fit great, they are 5 years old and the finish is still looking great, my car is a garage queen though. I would buy another set when the time comes. As said above you are comparing 2 of the best long tubes in the game.

KOOKS 1 7/8" here and I LOVE them. My car is lowered with 01 SS springs and I have no ground clearance issues along with my TSP true dual setup. I think you will be happy with which ever you choose though. GL!

ARH 1 7/8 here fitment was second to none. I also like the design of the merge on the ARH Y pipe better as well.

I have ARH from NewEra that sells them local. So glad I did, I've worked with and installed just about every other brand and they fit perfect I made my Ypipe, with a 4inch Ipipe, and a WB 02. Like other said they can add the 02, and you can get the Y pipe with other size outlets. Mike at newera has been useing them as the "best" header on cars, and thouse cars make killer power. 440whp 22x cam only LS6's, the highest bolt on car (I think it was 378whp?) had 1 7/8 ARH. I've gone really fast cam only with them. There easy to work on to. Lots of room to change the oil filter, get to the bellhousing bolts, the strarter is thight but has room all around it 80K stock one is doing fine,
My buddy on here had kooks on his car and #7 was really close to his clutch line, and would bake the fuild. We wraped the line, moved it away, bleed the clutch a lot and never really liked the pedal after the car was warm. It was a few year ago I think they changed them? I havn't heard anyone talking about that anymore?

I took some pics of how good the fit is on my 1 7/8 ARH. My car sits low in the front with 26/28 wheel setup, front strange coil overs, and rear no isolator with 1.5
coils cut. They tuck up really nice, never scraped on the street or doing wheelies the airdam or trans Xmember will hit 1st. Scraped one time, when the truetrac was acting up and turned right in a wheelie had to let right off.

How is the clearance with the steering shaft on ARH 1 7/8 LT's? I have Kooks 1 3/4 and they rub.
