Pacesetters, smog or race style?

hi,
i'll be getting a set of pacesetter headers for a 99 camaro,
will i need the race style or the smog headers, we don't have inspection in Oklahoma, so will it matter if i gt race ot smog style,

Well its really up to you.If you plan on getting the race style u will probaly have to delete your egr stuff.And buy block of plates.It doesnt really matter performance wise.I presonaly got the smog style because i just wantend to hook up the egr and air plate stuff back.You also should try do a search on this forum.Either if you get the smog or race u still will need rear o2 sims.

i would get the race style and yank all the emissions stuff (if youre sure you wont ever need to pass emissions, of course).

get the smog style and run block off plates. at least with the smog style you have the option of re-installing your emissions equipment shall the time ever arise

I like the race style because it cleans up the look of the engine bay and makes it easier to work on. The smog style with block off plates still got on my way a bit during plug changes when I used to have macs with block offs.
