The new 2005 LS2 Corvette has a 90mm TB stock...

So, this must be the bottle neck if even GM is going LARGE...

Right, if more air goes through the intake manifold, it had to travel through the MAF sensor to get there and across the O2 sensors not long thereafter. The fuel/air mixture will be compensated for by the increased load reported by the MAF to the PCM and also by the O2 sensors effecting Ltrims during closed loop operation. It's really no different than changing the airlid.

that's a great gain for just a manifold swap on a cammed/bolt-ons car. What makes it even more impressive is that it's over an LS6 manifold. That's awesome!

Don't you have to wait for the 90MM throttle body to come in as well? I was under the impression the 90MM TB wouldn't be ready for a while, and that is the only TB that mates to the 90MM intake.

I'm curious to know if the LSx fits with the LS1 coolant crossover pipe. If I were to sell my LS6 I'd like to sell it as a package

I got my call this morning also. I was #1 on the 90mm version list. I went and got base line dynos today. With a lid and catback, the car made 333/341 rwhp/rwtq. I'll put the intake on tommorrow night and dyno friday so we can see the diffrences on a bolt-on car.

OK, Here's the graph vs a stock LS1 intake. The car is a 2000 SS w/ pulley, ported tb, Borla cat-back, Whisper lid and that's it. NO other changes were made except for the manifold.

Yes, That's 20.3 horsepower & 17.5 torque!

Just an FYI - Unless Jason changed up his car in the last week, this is what he has:

Here is what the car has done to it now:

- stock pistons/rods/crank
- JE rings, Federal Mogual bearings, ARP main studs, ARP rod-bolts
- stock LS1 heads
- LS6 intake manifold
- '02 LS6 cam
- Comp 918s, TR 7.400" pushrods
- ported TB
- MAC headers w/ ORP (ported, but still have the crappy MAC collectors)
- Hooker catback
- ASP pulley
- stock 10-bolt/3:42s , '02 LS6 clutch, stock flywheel, FMS adjustable master cylinder, WS6 wheels
Now look at those gains. His car has LS1 heads and an 02 LS6 cam. Wouldn't good ported heads and a larger cam benefit more from a better intake?

Which would equate to ~8-12 rwhp over the LS6 giving that an LS6 intake makes an 8-10 rwhp increase over the LS1 intake on a stock car...

So the general concensus is 10-12 rwhp over the LS6??

Wow, that's great. I wish you could do the same thing with an LS6. I'd settle for 12 more.

20 HP over a stock LS1 intake sounds like a pretty measureable gain. However....isn't this just about 5-7 hp gain over an LS6 intake on the same car?

We'll have results of the intake on Shane's 375 ci heads/cam car tomorrow afternoon.... Jonathan's going to head to the track with the intake on his car tonight The only problem is, it will be his first trip to the track, so we don't have any "before" numbers for him.

The intake is giving better #'s which is very good.Remember alot of people buy Header's which are more $$ and give a little more HP.My intake should be here Monday,I will have my car on the dyno for before/ after swap on the dyno mid next week.I will Edit tune the car to it's top before and after to see what the real gain is.

It was nice to finally talk to you today Angie!!
