just stay with tr55's......if you are dumb enough like me u can see how much better they spark lol. i was testing spark and i wanted to see how the old plug sparked while it was there. so i held my mds wire with a pair of wires and had my friend start the car, yeah it was on 7 cyls. well i got zaped but it was bareable, really it was nothing. well hell i put in the tr55 and as soon as i saw taht first spark, it was like 10 times thicker and brighter, i was like oh hell! well needless to say i got zaped my this and holy hell those little sob's hurt. i was screamin turn it off turn it off.....!!!!! it was taht bad. but hey it sparks good lol but take my word and dont try it yourself...my arm was tingly for about a week

I've been using Bosch Platinum +4's for a few years now, and I can't complain. They stay clean. I don't use nitrous either. The Bosch units are quality pieces. It just depends on what brand you like the packaging of. These Platinum +4s' were installed on 1/15/02, and are still clean.

From what I hear this swap is a bitch! So I'm going with iridium. I don't want to swap these things again until I pull the motor out. Most people seem to use NGKTR55s. Yes the Bosch's are garbage on the LS-1 (but great in modular motors). You can't go wrong with copper, but there are rules that apply to your selections based on plug temps, gaps and the level of mods as well as weather you are N/A or not. Keep up your research so you select the correct plug the first time.

man its easy, i got all mine done from up top in about 30 min, and this was my first time. if i go to work and get the last 2 on the passenger side from under the car it will only take about 15-20 min...its nothing really save the money, unless your not that worried about it

My swap took a little longer. About 2 hours. I needed a 1 inch extentsion. But, I didn't.
So, I called up the soon to be ex and she took me to my step-fathers and I stole his.
Took me less than 5 min after that.

Changing the spark plugs isn't very hard. I did mine when I was doing the cam intall, I already had the coils and valve covers off so it took about 10-15 minutes to put in all eight and torque them down to proper specs. $7 for a spark plug is way to much, NGK's are $1.50-$2.50 each.
