I have a 93 lt and i have read all 18 pages and see that not one person from the lt perswasion has attemted this project i may be the first. From what i gather i would have to make the ls lid conversion first. Just one question though why is it that people are giving the performance upgrade potential in the form of 1-2 or 3-4 mph rather than .10ths or hundreths?

there have been a handful of people with lt1s who have done the swap...

try a search in the lt1/lt4 section

most give gains in mph do to that being the true hp gain being seen...it takes traction out the equation...plus a 2mph gain will transfer to a different ET for a 9 second car vs a 12 sec car...

currently my car is around 10.0 sec flat and it takes around 18-20rwhp to drop .1 tenth...but a 12.0 car only needs 9-10rwhp to drop a tenth...

hope this helps some

Hey guys!

I received my AC-version of the Chris1313 Ram air setup from speedinc.com a few months back, but my car was in the shop!

I just got my car back, so I found the box and opened it up.

It's a beautiful piece! I'll post pictures later.

My only question is that I have seen people talking about the 'extension.'

Is the A/C version of the ram air supposed to come with an extension? I saw no extension in the box...

Thanks in advance!

You should see it inside the intake itself perhaps? Mine was inside and I had to pull it out. (They fit inside each other)

So did I get the wrong version sent to me? I was going to do the a/c version, because I like a/c, and I am probably gonna be moving to Vegas soon. I got a bag with weatherstripping and some nuts/bolts, then the big metal piece, then a little metal piece that looks to fit on the bottom of the big metal piece. Confused? I hope this is the right one because I really wanted to install it before I put my car up.

Is that little piece that fits on the end the extension or is there supposed to be another piece that would go on that? If I have the wrong one then I guess I will have one to sell.

If anyone has the botton scoop piece for sale, non-ac, let me know. 1st day I had mine on I got sandwiched between an 18 wheeler and a guardrail, had nowhere to go, and took a gator tail (18 wheeler re-tread) at 75mph to the face.

Made some passes last weekend with the ram air installed as well as some other things done

Nothing ground breaking or earth shattering but a decent pay off for the work i put into it over the last couple months

Previous old best on motor was
60' 1.74
1/8th 7.856 @89.12
1/4 12.309 @ 109.73

todays new best was
60' 1.674
1/8th 7.654 @90.28
1/4 12.030 @ 111.87

Tried to make a few nitrous passes to see if i could get that 10 second pass I i'm looking for but the track just wasnt there. Tried tire pressure adjustments and window switch adjustments and as soon as the gas came on it'd blow the tires off.

New mods include front lower a-arms, chassis mounted tq arm, ls1 lid and chris1313 ram air and switched from a shark nozzle to a no2 outlet plate kit.

Do you have to cut any of the radiator support out of the way?

I know this is an old post but Ive just been looking into buying one of these this week and reading all I can find. I posted my own thread recently trying to get some comparisons of the different systems out. I'm trying to get some comparable results between the ac versions of the chrs1313 and the SSRA to see which one has better results. Anybody?
