Default Question Removing A.I.R

Hello all, just finished install of Pacesetters and am in the process of removing the A.I.R provisions. I am trying to follow ls1camaro.net's advice but they do not say anything about the black thing that all the tubes hook up to on top of the drivers side head, way in the back. There is a little short wire or something coming from the top and going about 2 inches to the left to some other connection. Do I dispose of this or what?

Hi,
Just do a search. Go to the search section and type in A.I.R. It should pull up everything about what you are asking about.

Good luck,

I haven't done the !AIR mod yet, but that's just a distribution block for the AIR system. Search is good, and also ya gotta give us some time... we're not on the clock here...

You're right, I apologize, just in a hurry to finish this header project! I went ahead and took it all out in hopes of you all saying that. I have to say this is site is a lot better for info than cz28. Even though they are good, this site is better IMO. Well, I am sure I will be posting again soon, thanks again for your patience.

Even if you take that black plastic thing off of the back portion of the valve cover you will still be left with a little vacuum hose. I found a small plastic like clip/retainer that I was able smash into the end of the hose.

Like others have said remove all of that ugly AIR crap you can.

I didnt have to unplug any sensors, just the power control wire thing to the AIR pump in the drivers side fender well.

When I removed mine I took out all of the stuff in the engine bay. The little black can that is bolted on the AIR bracket I zip tied it to something in there. Then I pluged the loose vacume hose that was also down there. So far no problems.

tie up the connectors, and plug the vaccum hose that came off the check vavle(on top of valve cover).
