Default TD's vs. GMMG

I have a GMMG, ORY, and LT's now but a few of my friends are running TSP TD's and they sound amazing. Don't get me wrong, I love my GMMG but I'm really thinking about doing the switch but my only reservation is the ground clearance. I have to go over some medium-sized speed bumps at school and can't afford to not make it to class, lol. I'm stock ride-height and don't plan on lowering it but I also don't want my butthole to pucker every time I see a bump in the road. That also comes to me having to sell my GMMG and 1-month-old TSP ORY so I can buy the TD's. Any suggestions; good, bad, or ugly?

You can probably get more money than the TSP duals are worth selling the GMMG and TSP ORY. TD all the way, tucked up correctly you can get very good clearance, enough to get over most bumps, if not all bumps. Just have to take the time installing them correctly and getting every CM of clearance possible. Get TDs and never look back

Cool, that's what I wanted to hear. I was just on TSP's website checking them out. I'd like to get it with some Sweet Thuders. I was hanging out with a good buddy last night and he was telling me to man-up and do it. He has his tucked very well and he said he doesn't scrape on anything, even with his front-end lowered a little with QA-1's. Now I have to sell this GMMG setup.

One last thing; I got my GMMG for a set of wheels so I don't really know how much to ask for it. It's in excellent condition and polished by hand to look like a mirror. Any ideas?

Look through the classified section and see what GMMG goes for currently, and adjust your price from there depending on your condition against that exhaust's condition.

My vote is for duals as well. If done right, nothing beats it.

Thanks guys. Vengeance sells the GMMG for $679 and I wouldn't let mine go for less than $600. I know that even though it's fully-polished it's NOT worth $600 used so I'll probably hold on to it. I know people sell them for $400 and I can't compete with that so if I decide to pull the trigger on duals I'll do it when I cam it and I'll throw the GMMG into storage. Thanks again guys.

You could also keep your GMMG and fab up duals from it like this guy did. https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...ew-videos.html Apparently It came out pretty good and you could keep that GMMG sound with a dual set up. Just some food for thought.

Just keep what you've got. Those duals wont make it any faster, but I know what will

You're right I have no Idea what sounds good..

I had a 3" O/R X with MagnaPack mufflers and flowmaster 1 chambers. Then did a Custom 3" O/R H with the flowmaster 1 chambers... The H sounded great. But ground clearance SUCKED.

You've never heard my set up. Flows as good if not better than a TD set up with no ground clearance to sacrifice
