Default Super Sucker Ram Air proves good.

Gained 1.5mph (117.17 vs old 115.72) with the SSRA. Used the weather stripping to seal off the stock inlet. Good product.

I have got mine coming soon, and it is good to hear that everyone is pretty satisfied with it.

Well, one day and I already ripped off the lower box with a parking curb.
Tossed it in my trunk and called it a day. I'll get around to bolting on (those tiny screws it comes with are a joke).

Just wonering if you pull your filter at the track or keep it in? If you leave it in, what filter are you running?

Used K&N I bought on Ebay (cleaned and oiled properly). It's in there all the time.

I shattered mine on a curb too. $250 down the drain. I gained nothing over my FTRA too. These things should definitely not be plastic - mine was falling apart at the seams long before I smashed it.

The upper box alone should provide decent air intake I presume. I think I'll run it without the bottom, except for track nights.

I run the SSRA extension with the upper piece of the FTRA. It's a sturdy piece constructed of welded alunimum. No problems on my 1.5" lowered car as long as I'm careful (especially on my driveway). Here's a link.

I remember that. It came with a warning sticker that said "Small children beware!".

I have run mine for almost a year. Taken it off and put it back on once, and the seams still look good. I have yet to crush it on a parking curb. I am just a little more careful

Bone SS: Not sure, but I'll be finding out. Using the Austin Perf. Scoop extension on my FTRA setup w/345 hp Blackwing lid setup and a VaraRam foam competition filter--(when the filter shows up.) I'm hoping for .05 and 1/2-1 mph over the FTRA unit w/my stock paper filter. Anyone else using the VaraRam foam competition filter on their F body? WJ.

Thanks. I haven't ran into too many people running the extension.

I've never hit anything on my SSRA and my car is lowered. I guess I'm just very careful. I've had it off a few times and the seams look great. No seperation on mine. I think that was a problem on the old ones that were just glued together.

I just got mine today and the installation was quick and easy until I had to install the lower portion, it was a bitch to screw in those little screws, the instructions didn't mention use of a drill so i decided not to use it. I tried for about 10 minutes(10 minutes too long) then I grabbed my drill and took care of business. I didn't go out for a decent road test due to rain, but I am confident I will be satisfied.
