ARH header fitment: 1-7/8 vs larger?
So im ditching my QTP longtubes because of issues with ground/k member clearance. I saw pics of an ARH 1 7/8 on a lowered car and the collector was tucked up WAY higher. what im wondering is this: is fitment on the larger (either stepped or 2" primary) as good, or will I start creeping toward my current speed-bump-grinding height as i add on tube size?
Also if anyone has input as far as the ARH y vs the qtps flowmaster mege, thats also appreciated. Plan on keeping the current one and making it fit, but im open to opinion. Thanks in advance everyone, i know how overasked these header questions can get.

I honestly couldnt say that they hang lower than any other header, cause i dont know. But i ditched my true duals for cllearance (the xr1s scraped), and then the headers became the problem.
Could very well be due to the rather aggressive stance, but this sounds like the best way to compromise.
@jimmy: what type of y/catback were you using with those primaries? 3.5" collector?
Anthony i sent you a pm

I have ARH 1 7/8 and my tq arm cross member or tranny pan will scrape before the headers will - see pics. I did have Strano springs installed with Koni SA shocks but car was way too low so I removed them. The headers never scraped but just going over railroad crossings or getting out of driveways and I would catch the tq crossmember constantly so went back to stock height stock springs.
I simply didn't want to take the chance of running up on a speed bump and not be able to get across it without ripping something loose.
As you can see also - my ground effects are lower than the headers.

What kind of crossmember is that? i was planning on getting a tq arm mount too but damn it all if that wont be another can of worms. hahahah.
By the way thats a very impressive setup. Im considering doing my kmember now but all the aarms and everything really adds up (not to mention that weird intake you have goin on there ).
this is one of those issues that nothing will SOLVE it but an endless cash flow. However, compromise can be had, and from what ive seen ARHs provide a significant improvement.

It's a Spohn TA. Koni's are on the lower tab with stock springs so it doesn't scrape much now compared to when I had the Strano springs.
I like my pressurized ATI D1 SC with custom intake aluminum piping. Makes some nice rwhp at 10 lbs of boost (565 rwhp). Still stock bottom end so can't push it much more. The next mod will be an LSX 376 so I can up the boost a bit.
