Default Fast 102 What Throttle body

I have a fast 102. Tried to install nw 92mm t-body, but it just barely misses the seal on the 102. I was under the impression they fit together since the fast 92 is an option when ordering. Need some insight.

Nope, the 92mm TB's don't seal. We can get you a PTM, Nick Williams, or FAST 102mm throttle bodies. Just depends if you have a preference or what your budget is. Let me know if you need one and we'll get you fixed up!

I know this is not true. Ive installed 92mm TBs on 5-7 different 102mm LSXRs. I run a 90mm on my personal LSXR.

Why would you put anything smaller than a 102 TB on the 102 FAST anyways?

I guess so they wouldn't lose to much bottom end while upgrading to a 102 Intake. Vengence Racing posted that they recommend a 96 mm TB with a 102 Intake on a stock bottom end LS1 with h/c.

A FAST 92 should fit according to FAST's application chart.

That's a myth about low end loss. No loss with a 102 TB just not a lot of gain over a smaller one. Maybe a 96 gives you the same results as a 102 but a 102 won't be less. I picked up low end torque with a 102. That being said, the 96 is not a mistake. It's probably more cost effective and a little easier to tune..

Is the fast throttle body really worth the cost or is it a personal preference?

Maybe the Fast T/Bs all fit, i wouldn't have a clue, but would assume Fast would make sure they do.
What i was trying to use was a PTM 95 & that certainly didn't fit, not sure about the N/W T/Bs.
Why was i trying a 95 T/B? Cause i like others had read that you lose low end torque with the 102 T/B, i road race and didn't want that or idle/low rev issues, I have now read different!
I ended with no choice but to use the 102 PTM.

You need to be more specific!
A Fast 92 will fit, YES. No where does it say any other Brand of T/B will, even though another Brand 92 could. Others that read these threads need correct information, not induendo, if i had read correct information originally i wouldn't have ended up with the wrong T/B that wouldn't fit the Fast 102.

if it is a mild set up run a smaller TB.346 stock cam and header use a 92mm TB.bigger cam ,or ported heads use a 102mm.Tony M just commeted on this in a thread.

I drive the road course as well and found the 102 not to compromise anything. Other than the usual driveability issues with any full bolt on motor, the Nick Williams 102 slightly outperformed the 90 all across the rpm range with a gain of about 6 ft/lbs at 3800 (which is right where you want it for the road course). This is with a mild low lift GM hot cam, Katech stage II heads, Kooks headers and FAST 102 with Nick Williams 102, billet rails and 42# green top injectors. No doubt with a bigger cam, the 102 TB would provide more gain on a stock cube motor.
