Either way I still have a decent sized strip of it left.

I love it and have to agree with the statement that I hate exhaust tips on the camaros.

Holy **** that's expensive for just the cat-back and intermediate pipe. And I have a 2k dollar exhaust setup. Sounds good though. My buddy has full Kooks on his 2010 camaro and it's a little tame for my taste, this setup sounds louder for some reason.

I left all my stock heatsheilds nothing hit. And with the tips we just tweaked the hangers alittle and got them lined up

Love the sound and power the Kooks True Dual kit added to my T/A. Did not come with the heat shield for the gas tank. Is this a vitally important item to install. Will the exhaust at that point of system really be that hot to cause the gas tank to explode? I'm just wondering if it's really needed, if so I will immediately go buy some heat shield. What other problems could arise without the heat shield? thanks

https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...ics-too-3.html

Take a look at post #46......This is from 2006 and one of the first if not the first true duel set ups that Kooks did on a 98-2002 f-bod....Notice all of the details and it is using different mufflers than the new kit.

Kooks must have a reason for making these set ups now, since this one was over $2k without headers I believe.

Search tool is wonderful when used

Yes UMI sells a tunnel brace mount for my torque arm I have which I already had a spohn adjustable torque arm and I had the spohn cross member but I pulled it out of my 94Z that I parted out and sold a TH400 and gearvendors overdrive out of so that X member was modified so it would work in the 94 so thats why I went with the UMI plus the UMI has the clearance for the dual 3 inch exhausts to fit thru. I also upgraded the rear end to the 9 inch from my 94Z with 390 gears and I have the UMI panhard relocation bar that just arrived today for 209 from Maryland Speed with free shipping.

One other note that driveshaft loop they recommend for the exhaust being installed does not work for the convertible.

I think you can come close to if not better sound with other exhaust even side exit. I've seen it done. Nice job though.

Wow way too much money for me. I can make exhaust to perform and sound as good and better for much less without the hassle of pipes over axle and making noise as bump up and down the road with suspension flex ect...I guess if you had lots extra money laying around and wasnt that much to you.

it wasn't expensive for one, two its made by Kooks not you, so it doesn't rattle off the suspension or clang and bang, and over the axle is no "hassle" at all. Why does every one always hate on what someone else has? LOL

I agree, has anyone priced a 304 stainless y-pipe and a catback lately? YEAH! the price of a good y-pipe and cat-back is very close to the kooks true dual system. I think people forget the kooks duals go from the headers to the tips.

Throw in an electric cutout and the Y-pipe/catback setup might be more expensive than the Kooks duals...
