I would not buy an axle dumped true dual setup. That said, I wonder why Kooks has both pipes going over the passenger side?!
You can buy LPP's stainless steel true duals for $400 shipped.........................you have to be stock height for you not to scrape but it's a stainless steel true dual system. It is very possible to have a custom system fabbed up for you for under $500, especially if you know the right people.

Hmm, looks like Bassani has one over and one under the PHB on the driver's side -- I mistakenly thought they has a pipe on each side.

Oh, it could be the fuel lines, brake lines, ABS/TCS connectors, upper panhard brace, etc. over on that side. Not saying it can't be done, but those that run duals that way usually end up removing the upper panhard brace or heat wrapping the **** out of the pipe to keep from burning stuff up over there.

Sounds like GM should have re-engineered the F-Body a LONG time ago to allow true duals from the factory! ![Rolleyes](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/rolleyes.gif)

Wow that's pretty. Props to the company for producing it, but I wouldn't waste half of what they are asking on that system. I really don't think it sounds that great. Maybe it's just because LS1's sound like ****. But I have heard some sound 10x better than that. My true dual setup ran me about $250 as well. It blows my mind that anyone would spend almost 2k on a damn exhaust system, not even including headers.

If I had a Camaro, I would leave them dumped, they can pull off the look... TA can't

I know but I'm just stating that people will spend a lot of money on parts that can bought for less. In the Mugen case I'm sure it's all in the name.

Thats a great looking system regardless of the price!
I wonder if Kooks could do the same with 3" Oval tubing? With a lowered car ground clearence is an issue and one that needs addressing.
I might make the call and see if it can be done, even for the same price. I would also go old school and do dual tips out the same side like my old '97 SS had, only this time it would be on the passenger side.
Well done Kooks, I have their headers and have been looking for a proffesionally made exhaust for my new 427 build, look like I found a GREAT place to start my search!!

I was thinking of going duals on my car. Was not sold on it untill I saw this thread. I too am interested in ground clearence this kit provides. I dont think the price is all that high considering the price of a comparible stainless steel y-pipe set up. You figure about 12-1500 on heades and y, couple hundred more for e-cut out, 500 for a good catback at least and labor to weld it all up and your looking at 18 or 1900 minimum. just my .02 cents..

The Kooks setup from heads to bumper is around $3000. Your example just saved you well over $1000.

On marylandspeed I priced everything out needed (Headers, Catted TDs, Driveshaft safety loop, Panhard relocation) $2,930 without shipping. I still do have to call to see how much better that price gets but thats serious $$ for a full exhaust setup.
edit: WS6store came to $2740
