Default Bbk ssi vs pro products typhoon

Im stuck in a toss up here and want to hear opinions from people who have dealt with these products, so should i go with the BBK SSI or the Pro Products Typhoon intake manifold, they are both fairly similar price wise.

This might bring up the "aluminum heat soak" conversation again... I've heard crap about the typhoon, I personally would go for the BBK. Others would tell you to go LS6 blah blah blah. Your choice, and this might help...

I have no complaints with my BBK, I like it better then the ls6 it replaced.
IMO, get the BBK and a 85mm TB, be happy!

Same here, like my BBK. No problems so far, looks good, and its cheap.

I have the typhoon and I love mine. 85/85 combo. Nice piece. Heavy but nice. Never had any issue with mine. Been on there several years now. Mine came with aftermarket rails. Don't know if the bbk does. There are some here that have them and like them. I don't see a problem going with either one. Both a good price and like I said no issue here with mine.

I have a book that did a comparison on the bbk vs 98-00 ls1 intake and it showed with a 85 mm tb is showed 27 hp gain over, and the ls6 had a 15 hp gain over stock ls1 with a 80 mm tb the typhoon showed 18 hp over stock ls1 with that same 80mm
They had only good things to say about the bbk it would be a great buy !
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I keep thinking I read somewhere the bbk was designed off the ls6 intake and would pretty much be a aluminum ported version of the ls6 ?

There's a lot of debate about this. I've heard mixed opinions about the PP Typhoon intake though, and everyone seems to favor the FAST even though I'm not finding a direct comparison of the typhoon and FAST 102. The Typhoon has the 96mm out and I'm just wondering why it hasn't been used much. Search for one of my threads about this.
