coil pack wont come off

Default coil pack wont come off

Ok I am trying to get the coil packs off and after reading some stuff on here I thought I could do it. All was find on the driver side till I came to this SOB. I marked it in the pic and its holding the pack down. I cant get the packs off with this so how do I get it off? Please help and I am sorry if someone else has asked the same question but I couldnt find anything when I searched for it.

ah, thats easy sir, undo the bolt on the back of the cylinder head also, to remove this bracket

You can bend it up with a big screwdriver "cave-man" style...
When you bend it back, the nut will suck it back down.


Or do it the right way, like mentioned above.

All you have to do is loosen the 15mm nut behind the head and that bracket will slide off. I've taken that bracket off on numerous cam and spring installs. Easy as pie. gl

Thanks for the info! I will give it a go but from the top or from under the car? Just an fyi I am doing motor and trans mounts, headers and off road y, ls7 clutch kit, and what ever else I decide to do while the car is flying high. Well 21 inch high.
