Default TTS vs Kooks

I have narrowed it down to TTS and Kooks for headers. The price is about the same for either so now I need to know am I giving up anything design wise be going with one over the other. I understand that there will be all kinds of bad experiences with either company but I am looking for why one would work better than the other. My car is a 2001 TA WS6 6M. Ok, let the opinions fly.

I'd say Kooks from post that I have read, but I havent heard much about TTS, may want to do a search for both of those in this forum and see what you come up with.

I would say QTP headers. Kooks and QTP are almost the same header (old Grott design), but QTP makes a much much better Y pipe in my opinion.

As for TTS, I haven't really heard any complaints about them.

BTW I went with the QTP setup because of their Y pipe

Kooks has a great ory. It only took me 45 minutes to get the y bolted up in place. Kooks also ovals out the drivers side to get better ground clearance and also so that it dosent tap the floorboard like many other brands do.

QTP all the way!.... i seen lots of cars with QTPs and they seem to always outperform others... the quality of the QTP is awesome

did you see the post in the Internal Engine forum about the Cartek H/C that made 500 rwhp?? The guy runs Kooks Headers with the Kooks y-pipe if i am not mistaken, so I think it works just fine

BTW, if i had the extra cash to drop down on these they would be my first choice.

Thats exactly what I am not a fan of!!! Why compromise performance for such minimal ground clearance. I have yet to have a problem with the clearance on my QTP Y pipe.

If you want to wait til spring I could give you a comparison. I have TTS's now and I am planning on getting kooks in the spring. The TTS has rusted badly and need to be replaced.

Make sure you get the stainless steel kooks. They will never rust even if you live right next to the ocean

dont forget that vettes have true duals... so the 500rwhp cartek vettes don't have Off road y's...

and if you look at pictures of both, the qtp y looks much better!

That should say it all
They rusted badly? The stainless kooks will last 100 times longer.

Bad enough for the plate where the collector and cat connect to crack. They also look like . I live on the beach.
