Default EGR/AIR delete help

Hey guys I need some help, I've read through alot of threads and haven't found what I'm looking for. I was going to pull the trigger on an order from speedinc for all the block off plates and gaskets as well as their "tap" in EGR intake plug, does any one know if it works well? Also if it doesn't I found the rubber expansion plugs at the auto parts store but theres a few sizes one is 1 1/4-1 3/8 and the other is 1 3/8-1 1/2 which one is the better fit?

the rubber expansion plugs will work ,use some silicone to seal it better.

EGR Plug for manifold - 1-3/8" adjustable freeze plug from an autoparts store. Here's a picture of one......... http://www.franklinwaterers.com/images/zoom/explug.jpg

So I'd try the smaller 1-1/4" - 1-3/8" plug if I were you.
Hell, that can't cost that damn much, just buy'em both & be done.

Alright guys I'm not a super noob I've already read almost every one of the threads you posted BEFORE I decided to do the mod, I'm just waiting for an answer before I place my order with speedinc. So I have PontiacFan saying the smaller diam. expansion plug is the better one but I'm guessing no one has used the speedinc "tap" in one yet. I just figured I could order everything from them at once instead of having to make another trip but I wanted to make sure their piece was a good one.

Go to ws6 store and order the gm intake manifold plug it fits great and it screws in, no silicone involved.

I saw that plug at the WS6 store it looks great and is a factory piece, I'm probably going with that even though its pricey it will look alot better. Maybe I can see if there are any at my local bone yard, I'm assuming they are on all the 01 and later models w/o EGR.

You won't fiind them on the 01-02 cars, the intake was cast without the hole

You can also cut the hose off short, stick a bolt in it and put a hose clamp on it. That's always worked well for the ones my friends and I have done lol.

I ordered the block-off kit from Speed Inc that you're asking about and it worked fine for me. I did have to make my own gaskets for the plates, but that wasn't a big deal.
