Default Duals on a Budget PICS/VIDEOS ADDED!!!!!!

Was looking at some of the random mandrel bends laying around the shop and decided to build a custom true dual setup. Longtubes arent in the budget until mid february, so I'll be removing the cats since I tuned out the rear O2's. It'll be 2.5" and go from manifolds to X-pipe to Bullets to dumps before the axle. Started on it today and got the X-pipe almost finished up. Just gotta clean up some of the welds. Whatcha think?

I'm really just tired of the super duper quiet factory exhaust on the car, and I can't stand the Z28 tips. Think it will look a lot cleaner with no tips in the back.

EDIT: Finally got everything installed and I'm really happy with it. No too raspy at all, just a real nice tone. Here's the pics and a short idle vid and a vid of a quick throttle snap.

Just ordered the Dynomax Bullets and some extra mandrel bends. Plan on installing all of this with my new clutch. I'll take pics and should everything finished up by Friday.

Xpipe - FREE (Made from spare mandrel bends laying around the shop)
Misc Pipe - FREE (Same thing)
Dynomax Bullets x2 - $80
2 180 Degree Mandrel bend pipes - $44 (just got em to finish up any other bends I may need).

I don't see their name on the sponser list on the right, but I got the Bullets and 180 bends from a company that rhymes with Plummit Placing.

So basically, with the addition of whatever wire I use up while welding, I'm looking at true duals for about $135 plus my time. I don't know about you guys, but that sounds good to me. Assuming I get everything installed this week, I'll get some pics and a video up more towards friday

If you were closer it'd be a go! I have some valve covers, Front cover, and other various items that need to go to the powder coating shop. Shipping exhaust is just too damn expensive.

You can say non-sponsor companies all day. The rule is you cannot post or link direct company contact info.

Also, if there is a product that no site sponsors sell, then generally it is ok to post a link bc you are not competing with sponsor sales. With universal exhaust bends from Summit, you would likely be ok there

Any inside pics of that x pipe brutal? Free x pipes are always a good thing but then again having a welder available at most times is even better

Do you plan on "adjusting" when you buy the LTs to fit the duals still? What headers do you plan on going with?

I can snap some pics on monday, x-pipe is sitting on top of the toolbox at work. Working in a shop that does a lot of exhaust is a great benefit to me

I plan on trimming and bending here and there to accommodate when the headers go on.

I plan on going with some race style pacesetters. I know they don't really break the bank, but with the holidays and just moving into a house, I decided it's better to wait until Feb. The pipe isn't going to cost me any extra running down from the manifolds as we have scrap lengths of tubing all over the place. I plan on hacking off the cats and just welding some pipe and bends up to the flanges that are left over, so I can just bolt it all up to the manifolds for now. O2 sensor bungs are available to me too, so I can mount up the front O2's.

I already have permission to tie up a bay all day on my off, Thursday. Hopefully Summit gets the stuff here on time.
