Any more feedback on these? Will these work on my L92 truck intake?

IMHO some of them look identical to FAST...If was a betting man...FAST imports their TBs in...They are the thing.

curious for more feedback on this. I see there are several "brands" on ebay right now. Anyone found one that works without modifications?

I ended up buying one of the 92mm versions. Overall, pretty good piece. In comparison to the FAST 92 I bought they look like they were casted from the same mold.

But,
- The metal vacuum tube looks cheap on the Ebay version
- The aluminum is of lower grade. I would guess the FAST is billet and Ebay is not.

If you are on a budget, I don't see an issue with the Ebayer.

I sure hope they got the problems with the sensor fitment corrected. I have the 92mm version bolted on my fast 92 intake waiting to be installed on my car. It bolted up to the intake nice. I just hope everything else goes well with it.

Really thinking about trying one of these if I can't get my old Fast 90mm to work better than it has.

Billet isn't "casted" and casted isnt billet, at least not in the way you are describing. Billet would be far superior in every way, and it would cost more due to a lot more production time and material cost. That being said, stock TBs are cast and they perform fine.

I also purchased an ebay tb for my 6.0/L92/LS3 build...My TPS was acting up upon initial installation just like alot of people with the fluctuating voltages and odd readings...we figured out that the shaft on my particular TB isnt shaped the same as a stock shaft. The stock TB has a D shaped shaft and the corners of the D are sharp, just like a normal letter D. The shaft on the Ebay TB is D shaped but with the corners knocked down and smoothed. Therefore, the TPS sensor doesnt fit exactly perfect and there is some play, causing the shaft to open a little before the TPS gets contacted and turns. I suspect this is happening to alot of other people as well and they arent aware of it. If you make the shaft fit correctly, the TPS works perfectly.

I've had a GodSpeed 102 before that had the IAC valve sealing issue, couldn't get it to idle less than 2k rpm. Since then I've had a FAST 92, a FAST 102 and a Professional Products 101 (worst one by far!). Well, I just got a FAST 92 intake and got back into the market for a 92mm tb.

It's been a while since I was shopping, but there are new vendors on eBay other than GodSpeed selling throttle bodies. And even though my experience with GodSpeed sucked before, I couldn't resist a $99 92mm tb! So I'll give this one a try and see how it does. $99 shipped? I just have to see this thing!

Well that was dumb... the GodSpeed throttle body was better than this one! The blade looked like it was hand cut, it didn't close all the way, and I never was able to open the blade... it's jammed! I kid you not, the thing never even opened due to the poor blade cut. Awful. Fortunately the shipping was free so the return should be for the full amount and I'll just get a CBM throttle body adapter.

Lesson learned... the eBay vendors are actually getting WORSE at making throttle bodies.

I've been using an eBay 92mm on my Sierra for about a year and a half now... biggest issue I've had with it is the opening to accept the throttle cable is way too tight and kind of chewed up the cable a bit now. Pedal feel is super stiff too, but I got used to it.

I really think its all a roll of the dice whether you get a cherry or a lemon since the quality control just isn't there in these rip off factories who don't do any sort of r&d, just simply churn out low cost units.
That said, I'm putting an LSXR on my Silverado now and splurged for a Nick Williams instead!

I grabbed one too for my project car, 102mm and have found the same issues everyone else encountered, IAC hole tad too small and the TPS sensor I ordered does not fit the shaft tightly and feels loose and the opening for it is also too small for it to sit flush against the throttle body mating surface. the blade looks excellent, the closed top works perfectly, the WOT stop needs to be "massaged" to allow full throttle blade opening to the flat position in the throttle bore. all in all a few minor headaches but for the price it is difficult to complain. I also have my own shop with any tool I would need to correct this issue. so if you are a tinkerer and feel comfortable with clearancing things and opening up holes slowly so object fit then I'd say you'll appreciate the savings, if you are a strictly wrench turning type who expects 100% fitment then you should purchase that luxury for the additional 3-400 bucks. all in all I imagine once corrected it will function fine the same as any other TB out there.

If anyone knows the correct TPS part number for this throttle body I sure would appreciate it. I am converting this one for a single plane on an LT1 and the stock TPS for the LTx motor is nothing like the LSx counterpart except for the harness plug.

Thanks guys!

Chris
